The Guth Gafa International Documentary Film Festival is an event for all the family to enjoy. Taking place over the August Bank Holiday weekend (4-7 August) at Headfort House, Kells, Co Meath, the festival has a very special programme of films and workshops for children of all ages.
Family-friendly films include The Eagle Huntress (Sat. 1.45pm, Mon. 11.15am) School Life (Sat. 8pm, Sun 11.30am), Singing with Angry Bird (Sat. 11.30am) and Landfill Harmonic (Sun. 11.15am). There’s also a special programme of Children’s Animation (Sat 12pm, Mon 11.30am).
Children’s workshops in printing, art and music will take place 2-5 pm daily Sat-Mon, giving parents just enough time to see a film & grab a coffee.
All the action happens in a specially created festival village in the magical surroundings of Headfort House, two kilometres from Kells. Three state-of- the- art-cinemas surround a festival tent, with delicious fare and live music,on the menu throughout the weekend.
