We are proud to formally announce that the tenth Guth Gafa International Documentary Film Festival will take place at Headfort House and in Kells Co Meath on the earlier dates of 3-7 August 2016.
To mark the occasion of our tenth birthday, we are planning our most exciting and ambitious programme to date.
This year’s family-friendly event will extend over five days at the height of the holiday season in the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East.
The theme of our 10th anniversary festival is HOME and we will feature films from around the world that explore the meaning of home through personal stories.
Among the highlights of this year’s programme will be:
-A celebration of Irish documentary film
-A look back at ten years of Guth Gafa
-Films for children that will be selected by a children’s jury
-Family friendly films and other events
Check back over the coming days for details about Irish documentary submissions, An Open Competition for student film makers and the local ‘Made in Louth Meath’ film strand.
