CLOUDS OVER SIDRA

IRISH PREMIERE

CHRIS MILK, GABO ARORA / UK/2015/ 8:23 min

The UN’s first foray into virtual reality filmmaking drops viewers into the Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan, home to 130,000 Syrians fleeing violence and war. Children make up half of the camp’s population.  Your guide is Sidra, a twelve-year-old Syrian girl who is just coming to terms with the limitations and promise of her new home. This multi award winning  film provides a brief glimpse of the day to day life that refugees endure with narration from Sidra herself.
