Kells audiences will get a sneak preview of the Guth Gafa International Documentary Film Festival with a taster screening tomorrow, Thursday night.
A Goat for a Vote, set in a Kenyan secondary school follows the trials and tribulations of three teenagers who are campaigning to be the next school president.
This award winning film-which is suitable for 12 plus age group- offers a charming and sometimes hilarious insight into how democracy is interpreted by the young.
It starts at 8pm will all proceeds from the night going to the local theatre group.
The treats continue on Friday afternoon in the Cinemobile at Headfort House when there will be two free screenings of family friendly films from the programme.
Twin Sisters at 2pm will be followed by Happiness at 4pm.
Both films, which are suitable for children aged 8 and over, are part of the official festival programme, which gets underway on Saturday morning.
