Since the first year of Guth Gafa, one of the criteria for the selection of a film is that the director must be available to attend the festival in order to participate in a post-screening discussion led by an Irish director or producer, and also involving members of the audience.
This has led to some lively debate in the first four years, and almost guarantees more of the same in 2010.
