Early Bird Special on Industry Accreditations

Guth Gafa are offering a special Early Bird Accreditation rate of only €25 (50% off) for industry delegates who sign up before Sunday 30th May.
This year’s 5th Guth Gafa International Documentary Film Festival will host more industry events than ever before, with a line-up of documentary experts and specialists panelists from Europe and America. The key industry panel on Saturday 12th will be entitled 'Doc Outreach – the Festival and Beyond', and will focus on the expanding role of the festival, not just as launch pad for new films, but also as an instrument for promotion, outreach and education, including a look at novel approaches in distribution and promotion of documentary films. Confirmed panelists so far for this event are Hana Kulhankova (Festival Director One World, Prague), Lise Lense-Møller (Producer, Burma VJ), and Dominique Henskens (Cinema Reloaded, Rotterdam IFF). Two more panelists are still to be confirmed. This panel will be moderated by Mick Hannigan, director of The Cork Film Festival.
There will also be a Meet The Experts session on Documentary Pitching, Financing and Distribution, a STI Masterclass with Kim Longinotto, who recently received the HotDocs 2010 Outstanding Achievement Award, one-to-one meetings with Peter Jaeger (Autlook Film Sales), a presentation on European Doc Education and Training initiatives, and an in-depth post-screening debate about documentary from a child’s perspective, with two visiting directors, hosted by Sheila De Courcy, Head of RTÉ Young People's.

Full Industry Accreditation, available up to the start of the Festival, costs €50, and allows delegates free admission to all screenings from Friday to Sunday, plus access to all industry events - seminars, debates, expert sessions, one-to-one meetings (on a booking basis), but excludes the STI Masterclass, which has to be applied for through FÁS/STI. The industry accreditation also includes an invitation to the Opening Night reception, Opening film and Festival club, and to the Closing Night Party for International Guests.
